HabitForge does not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data. Period. Your habit data lives exclusively on your device and is never sent anywhere. As reflected in our App Store privacy label, HabitForge's data practice is "Data Not Collected."
We collect zero data. HabitForge does not use analytics, crash reporting services, advertising frameworks, or any third-party SDKs that transmit information off your device. There are no user accounts, no logins, and no registration of any kind.
All your habit data — including history, streaks, folders, and custom schedules — is stored locally on your iOS device using on-device storage. Widget data is shared between the app and its home screen widgets through an App Group container, which is also entirely on-device. This data is fully under your control at all times.
Your data persists on your device for as long as HabitForge is installed. You can delete all of your data at any time by:
Because no data is stored on any server, there is nothing to delete on our end.
Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, you have full control over your data at all times. You can access, export, or delete your data entirely within the app without contacting us. If you have questions about exercising your rights, you can reach us at the contact address below.
HabitForge provides a JSON export feature that allows you to export your data locally. This export process is entirely on-device. The exported file is saved to a location you choose and is never uploaded to any server.
HabitForge may request permission to send you local notifications for habit reminders. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification data, tokens, or schedules are transmitted to any external server. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.
HabitForge does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or cloud platforms. There are no external network requests made by the app beyond what is required by the iOS operating system itself (e.g., App Store update checks managed by Apple).
Because HabitForge collects no personal data whatsoever, it is compliant with children's privacy regulations including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and Article 8 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union. No parental consent mechanism is required because no data is collected from any user, regardless of age.
HabitForge does not process any personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation. No data is collected, stored on external servers, or transferred outside your device. Because no personal data is processed, no legal basis for processing is required, and no data transfers outside the European Economic Area occur.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, HabitForge does not collect, sell, or share any personal information as defined by the CCPA. There is no personal information to access, delete, or opt out of, because none is collected.
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given our strict no-data-collection approach, significant changes are unlikely. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please contact us at support@habitforge.app.
